After finishing treatment for cancer in 2010, I was overweight, tired, depressed and just unhealthy. I felt horrible about myself. I couldn’t get motivated to do anything. I was pre diabetic and had high blood pressure.
I started working out with Melissa and have seen amazing results in that time. I have never felt stronger or healthier. Melissa is passionate about fitness and it shows through the energy and enthusiasm she brings to every session. Her easy going, friendly personality creates a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. She makes each workout challenging, creative and most importantly, fun! She motivates me to push past my perceived limits to get results. I have incredible energy, my balance and flexibility have improved immensely and I have lost 11 lbs. Before I tell you why I love working with Melissa, you should know a little about me. I’m suffering from a chronic inflammatory condition which attacks all my joints and can flare up at any moment. This makes it difficult to have a consistent work out plan as some days I can barely move. Having said that, I met with Melissa and told her what I was looking for and what I was dealing with. I needed someone who could work with my limitations
The next time I met with her, she had an amazing work out plan put together for me:
• She had totally listened to what I wanted
• She had all kinds of modifications for me for the days I could not work hard
• She had additional tips for me on how to handle my journey
• She took the time to show me every equipment, how to set it up, how to use so that in case I ever wanted to work out by myself, I knew what to do and how to do it.
• She spent time teaching me the correct form, which in my case is absolutely crucial
• And above all she made it fun
Let me just say after working with her and using her plan, in about 4 months I started growing a very cute tush, I have never had it in my life before and can’t tell you how ecstatic that made me…. Today I get complements on my butt… all thanks to Melissa and her workouts.
My daughter watched me train with Melissa and she loved how much fun I was having so after cheering me on, she told me she can’t wait to be old enough so she can work out like me… that is priceless.

I became acquainted with Melissa at Snap Fitness in Roseville. She trained me during my introductory sessions and I found her extremely helpful. Her suggestions on dietary changes, stretching, and exercise routines have provided me an excellent foundation for getting fit.
Ever since I’ve been a Snap member, I’ve participated in Melissa’s group exercise classes on a weekly basis. The classes are phenomenal because they target the entire body and incorporate both strength training and cardio. They’re challenging and believe it or not, fun! After attending 3 months’ worth of training and following her exercise/clean eating regime, I’ve lost weight, body fat, and toned up.
Melissa is effective as a trainer because she’s knowledgeable and motivational. She makes the effort to get to know her clients on an individual basis and is genuine in her investment of their health. Not only is Melissa an awesome cheerleader, but she’s an inspiration as well. Her own personal story and fitness achievements emphasize her dedication and commitment to wellness, thus making her a positive role model.
